Lab results for pneumonia come back negative and dengue fever was cut on time, in order to start treatment. As of Aug 30, Hikaru completed the urgently medical process and discharged from hospital to OPD (out of the patient, to avoid catching other illness, due to poor 3rd World sanitary conditions at the hospital)Her older sister is helping mama to take care of Hikaru and we all are praying for her full recovery.

HOWEVER,

Now the child needs to take extra prescription vitamins and need nutritious food to help boost the immune system. As many of you may know, the family is from the demolished community and very poor, have no income. We are asking for your help to assist with needed food and vitamins.

Hikaru Update

Dear friends and strangers, Thank you for your care!One week past but Hikaru still in the 🏥. Last Friday doctor requested additional laboratory tests, to reconfirm that she also has pneumonia. This complicates the situation and treatment process. Such a test have to be done at a special lab in a private hospital, and it’s very expensive.As of Aug 25, a child trying to eat small portions and nurse removed the urinary catheter.We hope and pray for no complications and good lab results on Tuesday. At that time doctor should do treatment and we will need additional medications.

Test of Life

6 Aug 2019 · On Tuesday, the Philippines declared a “national dengue epidemic” according to a release from its Department of Health. There have been more than 146,000 recorded cases of dengue fever from Jan. 1 through July 20, 2019, with a total of 622 deaths.On Aug 20 the child from one of the save families got high fever. With no financial ability, mother tried everything to bring the fever down, but without success.

The next day child was borough up to Cebu Hospital for evaluation and after a blood test, Hikaru was diagnosed with dangerous Dengue Fever Virus.

Things got worse fast and just a couple hours later child already admitted to the emergency room ICU.Urgent plea for blood donations was sent out and we all are praying for save results and recovery. The hospital requires payments to buy blood from Blood Bank and need to pay for all required medications

Few people come to the rescue and volunteer come to the hospital and donate blood. Our lifesaver Matt from Hawaii again jumps into action, knowing that every minute counts, provided financial assistance for required medication and IV.

As of today Aug 23 child still in pediatric ICU and fighting for her life. We still need your 🆘 help for additional reserve blood and medicine for the required continuation of the treatment of this emergency and need your assistance, support, and prayers. PLEASE 🙏 DONATE

We are a small but dedicated group of concerned people with the mission to help these homeless families and kids.
By providing life-saving basic support, such as shelter, clean water, and food, we set a goal for children to attend school.
Removing children from the street is very important to protect them from the environment of crimes, including drugs and trafficking.
Keeping kids in school, gives a chance to get an education and change the lives of entire generations to come.

Poverty is real. We work on the ground to safeguard their rights and help ensure they live as much as possible in safety and with dignity.

But we cannot do it alone. We need your help – your kindness will help us reach one more child, one more family today.

Our Story

Trencia family was part of the demolished community, who end up homeless. She is the grandmother of two of our sponsored kids.
She grew up in total poverty, never attended school and don’t know how to read or write.

She suffered an abusive relationship and abandoned with multiple kids, but always strives to give a better future to her family. This charity group dedicated to Trencia, for her neverending efforts and dedication, to ensure her grandkids get an education and group is managed by a family friends.

Due to the extreme poverty her children also never finished schooling and only chance for change are grandchildren. She set a goal to help grandkids to keep going to school and get an education, break the cycle of family poverty.

Next year, the oldest sponsored granddaughter Miyuki will be the first in the entire family who will graduate and receive HS diploma. This is a lifetime event and all this was possible because of care, love, and support of foreign friends, making sacrifices for the sake of this children future.

Group was expended and as of now 5 families are saved, a total of 16 kids life is on the way to better change. This ripple effect will follow for generations and by helping these kids we are changing the lives of their entire future generations. In addition, we are helping other street kids, even with very limited funds, we provide school uniforms, supply and assisting with religious or school events (first communion, school scout group, etc.)

Making a difference

Thank you to everyone who cared to help. When the child got her first birthday cake for 7th birthday. When there are office workers fed kids in the office and shared food. For the time when the kids get to go for the first time ever to the arcade games.
Thank you for giving the kids hope and this unforgettable moment.We are doing everything we can to help the families to sustain a basic living and for the kids to stay in school.
Sometimes even the delivery of small meals or new clothing for birthdays, it all can make a big difference, especially that most of the kids never had a birthday cake and never wear new clothing.

Hypocrites

Worse things I have encountered in life are Hypocrites. People covering up behind religion, pretending to be someone they are not. It is the same people slumping the murders and wishing for the death penalty. Same people who do speeches and posts about poverty and yet to donate to help, same people screaming about saving the 🌎World and driving huge SUV and never done the cleanup projects, and this list are endless. We all know such people and you know who you are.

One, even darker, the idea is that since lying is hard to do, your natures may have evolved to protect you from the dangers inherent in this self-contradiction. Instead of self-consciously feeling like you want to appear charitable but actually be stingy, you sincerely believe in the values of charity but subconsciously sabotage yourselves in actually donating anything. Instead, you claim failures of discipline, the busyness of literally anything possible when confronted with the contradiction that you say or believe we should give to charity but don’t actually give anything, using any possible excuse.

Real people who care, not send wishing messages, they simply act to make a difference.
